There is a quiet season, somewhere between 26 and 34 weeks, when your body is doing its most extraordinary work. It deserves to be seen as art. As a San Diego maternity photographer, I created my fine art maternity sessions to honor exactly that season, slowly and beautifully, in a space made just for you. Partners and kids are always welcome.

A Private Studio, Made for Stillness
San Diego is full of beautiful places, but a pregnant body deserves more than wind, crowds and harsh afternoon sun. Every maternity session takes place in the privacy of our Bankers Hill studio, where the light is soft and sculpted and nothing is rushed.
Here you have room to breathe, to move and simply be. The studio is warm and comfortable, so you can focus on how you feel instead of the weather.
Boudoir Style, Made for Motherhood
My maternity portraits are shaped by the same eye I bring to my boudoir work. That boudoir style means soft light, graceful posing and a quiet confidence that lets your curves become the art. The result is elegant, timeless and deeply personal, never posed or stiff.
You can be as covered or as bare as feels right to you, from flowing gowns to delicate lace. Every frame is made with care and complete privacy.
When the Light Is Just Right
The most beautiful time for maternity portraits is between 26 and 34 weeks. Your bump is softly rounded and defined, and you’re usually still comfortable moving between poses and gowns. I recommend reaching out early in your second trimester so you can hold the date you want.
It Begins With a Conversation
Your experience starts with a relaxed phone consultation. We’ll talk through your vision, the feeling you want your portraits to hold and who might be joining you. There’s no pressure, just a chance to dream a little together.

Your Session Day
On the day of your session, you’ll have two and a half unhurried hours in the studio.
- Hair and makeup. A talented, professional hair and makeup artist prepares you, so you feel radiant before we begin.
- Modern maternity gowns. Choose from our collection of modern gowns, flowing fabrics and delicate lace. There’s nothing you need to shop for.
- Gentle guidance. I’ll guide every pose, so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands.
- Your people. Partners and little ones are always welcome to join for a few frames together.

Seeing Your Portraits
Within a week, we’ll meet on Zoom for your private viewing. You’ll see your images fully finished and choose the ones that will become heirlooms, as albums to hold and wall art to live with every day. Many mothers tell me this is their favorite part of the whole experience. Seeing yourself this way, glowing and strong, is something you carry with you long after your baby arrives.
A Few Gentle Tips
- Rest and hydrate the day before your session.
- Moisturize your skin, especially your belly, in the days leading up to it.
- Bring something meaningful, like an ultrasound print, tiny shoes or a piece of jewelry.
- Wear loose, soft clothing to the studio, so there are no marks on your skin.
- Bring water and a snack. Breaks are part of the plan.

Welcoming Mothers From Across San Diego
Our studio is in Bankers Hill, near Balboa Park, and I welcome expecting mothers from La Jolla, Del Mar, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Rancho Santa Fe and all over the county. Every session happens in our private studio, so the experience is the same wherever you’re coming from.
For Every Chapter
Many women first come to me for boudoir photography in San Diego and return to celebrate their pregnancy, or the other way around. Both are about seeing your body exactly as it is, as something worth honoring.
